Voici ce qu'un fan américan a pensé de cet épisode: "Dan Harmon > Community Community was the best comedy on television. Personally, I think it was one of (if not) the greatest television comedy ever created. Every new episode immediately became appointment watching. It was funnier than everything else currently out there, but what truly separated and elevated it from the rest was the unparalleled intelligence for its genre. Never had a half-hour comedy worked on so many levels. Many people, myself included, have rewatched episodes 2,3,4 times and amazingly notice or realize something we didn't before. How many other comedies can say that? That's what makes this whole situation so maddening. We aren't just talking about "some" show. We're talking about a show that revolutionized the genre and inspired a legion of fans to embrace it as a god of cult classics. Community was Star Wars. Community was The Wizard of Oz. Community was The Godfather (Part 1). Community was Facebook and the internal combustion engine. It irrevocably changed the way I look at comedy. My fear is that Community was a quiet revolution. That sadly, it wasn't enough to force networks to look inwardly at their practices and the shit they have been passing off for comedy these days. I just hope laugh tracks don't cover up the stupidity forever. Dan Harmon is a genius that was unceremoniously and seemingly vindictively shown the door by Sony and NBC. The show was his baby, his vision. Creator, showrunner, writer, executive producer. His fingerprints were everywhere. He had the last say on every decision. I've read that he meticulously edited Community to get the timing as perfect as possible. When I heard about the news of his firing on this very website I immediately felt a sense of dread. I pessimistically thought the show I had known and loved died in that very moment. I understand there are many people involved in the production of a TV show. I get that. But Dan Harmon WAS Community. We all tried to hope for the best, naively and desperately hoping the new showrunners could build upon the universe Dan created. But it doesn't appear that they can. It's not their fault. They are in an impossible position. Could you imagine if AMC had suddenly fired Vince Gillian and asked a few newbies to come in and finish Breaking Bad? Because that is essentially what Sony and NBC have done to Community. They've abused it during its entire run so I suppose destroying the creative direction of the final season is apropos. I feel sad for the people on this forum who have deluded themselves into this is the same show. It's not. What I saw was a cheap imitation. Mimicry and unintentional mockery. It looked like Community, but it sure as hell didn't FEEL like Community. The dialogue felt forced somehow. Most of the jokes fell flat. Troy and Britta in the fountain almost made me cry. Troy wasn't Troy anymore. It felt like some nefarious body snatcher had my replaced favourite character. It's hard pinpointing more specific criticisms, because the episode had an all encompassing wrongness to it. I wish it wasn't this way, but it is. Maybe the show will get better. Maybe this harbinger of doom act is premature. But even if the new showrunners find their legs and make a good show that is their own, it won't be my Community. My Community is dead and the Pacific Ocean isn't big enough to fill my sorrow. (P.S. Sorry for the depressing post. I'm going to watch Archer now to lift my spirits.)less" Je n'ai rien d'autre à rajouter.... |

A long time ago, we used to be friend...
Naze, naze, naze.
