Alice is happy with the new tree being dedicated to Tom. She says it's her first time in 50 years not decorating a tree with him. Jonah says Tom helped him become a doctor. Maggie says Jennifer is close to accepting Peter's proposal, as Alice tells her that Jack is back. A surprise guest returns for the tree lighting: Julie Williams. Julie says she and Doug had hoped Gina was Hope, but is disappointed she's not. John tells Kristen no one will burn down this tree. The desecrator goes near the fuse box with pliers. Mickey and Alice dedicate the tree in Tom's memory. As Alice tries to light the tree, the fuse box smokes. John and Abe go to investigate A man, Gabe, stops by and tells John to hook the Christmas tree plug into the TV crew's generator. Shawn-Douglas suggests that Gabe is an angel. Once the tree successfully lights, Julie starts the crowd singing ìO Come All Ye Faithful.î The carolers also sing ìAngels We Have Heard on Highî and ìJoy to the World.î Shawn tries to comfort an upset and alone Sami. Jamie asks Sami to try to let her anger against Carrie go. Two young men spot Sami and make fun of her when they recognize her from the Intruder rape story. Marlena tells Shawn and Caroline she's worried about Sami's anger towards Carrie. Austin asks Carrie to break the tension and start over tonight. Austin asks what's up with Jonah. He mentions it has to do with the married woman he told him about. Laura calls Dr. Perkins and tells her to tell ìClarkî that she hopes he's back with his ex-wife. Laura tells Maggie she misses Clark a lot. Jack, dressed as Santa, gets to hold Abigail. An unknowing Jennifer invites him to come to the hospital to give out presents. John realizes his church keys have been stolen and head over to the church. He finds the desecrator there ready to ruin the statues with a hammer and they fight.
