En 2022, le vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac raconte son histoire au célèbre journaliste Daniel Molloy. En 1910 à La Nouvelle-Orléans, Louis et Lestat forment une famille vampirique à laquelle vient s'ajouter Claudia, la novice adolescente.

3.05 - New York
In New York, Lestat and the band record his "posthumous" album under Gabriella's supervision. Daniel meets with Armand, who tells him he has been a silent influence in his life for the past 52 years. Louis calls Lestat and begs him to tell him that he is hallucinating Regina's resemblance to Claudia; although Lestat also sees it, he tells Louis that he is imagining things and that he shouldn't see her anymore. The memories of Claudia triggered by the encounter inspire Lestat to record an emotional ballad, "Stained Glass Eyes", which will be the basis of the revamped album. To deter the band from staying with him and ruining their lives, Lestat tells them of an incident in which he woke Akasha, the mother of all vampires, from her slumber; despite this, they ask him to turn them so that they can help complete the album to his standards. The sole exception is Larry, who quits, only to then be driven into suicide by Armand.
